So glad to see others of the same thought.
I tired of the constant posts re Prince right away and reminded my friends that this was a guy who got away with what so many others would have lost so much for just because of who he was. The hypocrisy is astounding.
I don't even know where to start on him.
It's sad that he's passed, and that he left behind loved ones. But the bs being spewed about him is nauseating.

Article: Autopsy: Prince Died Of Overdose Of Fentanyl
by AndersonsInfo inhttp://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2016/06/02/prince-autopsy-death-toxicology/.
minneapolis (wcco/ap) — autopsy results show that prince died of a self-administered overdose of fentanyl, and his death was ruled accidental.. the 57-year-old singer was found dead april 21 at his minneapolis-area estate.
the findings confirm suspicions that opioids played a role in the musician’s death.. after he died, authorities began reviewing whether an overdose was to blame and whether he had been prescribed drugs in the preceding weeks.. according to the national institute on drug abuse, fentanyl is more potent than morphine, and is “sometimes used to treat people with chronic pain who are physically tolerant to opiates.”.

Hi Emma, long time no see, hope you're well.
...
What the heck is taking mainstream media SO damn long to catch on to this?
I've watched the Hulu show The Path and while it's meant to be a commentary on Scientology, it's still so easy to see how the JWs fit the cult bill.
I'm so darned tired of people acting as if the JWs are some sweet little religion.
In some ways they are one of the more dangerous ones out there just because they have retained that sweet little image.
So happy to see a news outlet talking about it.
Thanks for sharing. -

I remember when I was a dub the big thing was card games and square dancing.
Wow, we were a crazy bunch.I didn't see the comments on it, I kind of threw up a little in my mouth just looking at the game.
Is it sad though that I totally remember ogling the products from that catalog and wanting desperately for a new bookbag to pioneer with? -

Remembering Stealth453
by Bumble Bee ini'm not sure if there is anyone here anymore that remembers stealth, but if there is i just wanted to pass on the news that he passed away from a heart attack almost 2 years ago now.. i just found out myself today.
he had moved overseas and we lost contact.
he was in an area that he didn't always have reliable internet connections, so it wasn't uncommon for me to not hear from him for long stretches.

It takes discussion out of the picture and makes it about just getting people to the website where there is more control.
I remember the last tract minsitry I was involved in, it was the idea of just get the tract in their hands.
I agree that they're trying to get away from the Watchtower heading. It turns people off right away.
Definitely hired pr reps. Someone's getting it through to them that the Watchtower has gotten a bad rep, so they need to rebrand. -

how the hell is this new teaching any different than the RCC view of the Pope???
So you have 6 more people. Big whoop.
Same concept.10 Who, then, is the faithful and discreet slave? In keeping with Jesus’ pattern of feeding many through the hands of a few, that slave is made up of a small group of anointed brothers who are directly involved in preparing and dispensing spiritual food during Christ’s presence. Throughout the last days, the anointed brothers who make up the faithful slave have served together at headquarters. In recent decades, that slave has been closely identified with the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Note, however, that the word “slave” in Jesus’ illustration is singular, indicating that this is a composite slave. The decisions of the Governing Body are thus made collectively.
